Welcome to the Nar-Anon Kansas City Website

Our Nar-Anon Family Groups deal with the very real and growing problem of addiction and its impact on the family. If someone you love suffers from addiction, come and join us in learning to live a different way. Our program is not a religious one, but a spiritual way of life.

There are 6 Meetings in the Kansas City area.   Anyone that has been affected by someone else’s addiction is welcome to attend any of these meetings. They are all ‘open’ meetings and welcome new members at any time.  Other meetings within a few hours of Kansas City are also shown on the Meetings page.  Please review the Meetings pages for canceled meetings.

Due to the Coronavirus, many meetings have temporarily closed.  Every attempt is made to keep the meeting list up-to-date.  Some meetings have set up the ability to support members and meet virtually.   All Nar-Anon members of the Region or new members wanting support can attend these meetings.  Information about these virtual meetings can be found at the Midwest Region  Meetings page.

If you are interested in finding out what Nar-Anon is about or wondering if Nar-Anon would help you, please visit the Newcomer’s Info page of this website.  There is also a Member Sharing page where members share what Nar-Anon has done for them.

A Calendar has been added to show scheduled activities of Kansas City Nar-Anon Family Groups.  On this page, you will find scheduled meetings and conventions.

The basics that help guide our members on how to find serenity in their lives are found on our Principles page under Twelve Steps.   This page also shows the guidelines for how our Family Groups function under Twelve Traditions and how the service structure works under Twelve Concepts.

Mission Statement
The Nar-Anon Family Groups are a worldwide fellowship for those affected by someone else’s addiction. As a Twelve-Step Program, we offer our help by sharing our experience, strength, and hope.

Serenity Prayer
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.
